Donegal Sports Star Awards to be launched next Monday

The formal launch of the Donegal Sports Star Awards will take place next Monday evening in the Mount Errigal Hotel at 6pm.

The Donegal Sports Star Awards Chairperson Neil Martin will announce the name of the special guest for the 41st Awards function, which takes place on Friday the 27th of January in the Mount Errigal Hotel.

The launch will also provide significant details regarding the Donegal County Council sponsored event including ticket information.

The committee has also confirmed the attendance of a number of past winners at next Monday evening’s launch including David Patterson, Colm McGonigle, Bryan Harkin, Richard Eaton, Donal Reid, James Cullen, Danny Ryan, Michael McGarvey, Anne-Marie Meehan, Jack McLaughlin, Charlie McAteer, Nicola Harris, Eamonn Giles, Fr. Michael Sweeney, Stephen Friel, Danny McDaid, Sean Boyle, Paul Giles, Christine Russell, Anne McGrath and Seosamh MacCeallabhuí.

Chairperson Neil Martin expressed his delight at confirmation of the past winners attendance.

“We have welcomed past winners to the launch over the past two years and it’s something that we intend to do into the future,” Mr Martin said.

“The committee is delighted to be honouring more past winners next Monday evening at our launch.

“It’s the annual opportunity for us to formally launch the Donegal Sports Star Awards and we’ll also have other guests present from sporting organisations in the county.”
