Letterkenny Gaels GAA Club held their Annual Presentation Function in Arena 7 on Thursday night last.
All present enjoyed the usual delightful food which was a welcome break from the typical festive menu.
Presentations were made to the following players: • Senior Player of the Year: Sean McDonagh • Reserve Player of the Year: Charlie Creevy • Most Improved Player of the Year: Nicky McGarrigle •Ladies Player of the year: Denise Gallagher. • Under 21 Player of the Year: Aaron Diver • Minor Player of the Year: Shay Doherty. The Club Person of the Year was awarded to Mark McFadden.
Sympathy is extended to the Deignan family from Maghernnan on the recent death of Gerry.
Our Club AGM will be held on Sunday 8 January 2017 at 2pm in the Gaels Club Room.
Club Members are encouraged to attend this important event in the Club calendar.
Camogie training will resume on Friday 4th February at the LYIT from 6-7pm for U8 & 10 & 7-8pm for U12,14 & 16. All welcome.
The Annual Underage Football Presentation will take place on 28th January at 4pm in the Clubroom. See Facebook in the coming weeks for more details.
Under 8 and Under 10’s indoor training resumes for 2017 on Sunday 19th Feb in the Aura from 11am – 12noon. There will be 6 weeks of indoor “skills development” before moving to the pitch at the beginning of April.

U-12 football resumes on Wednesday February 1st in the astro turf at Aura until March 15th inclusive from 7-8pm.
We are looking for singers, dancers, actors and musicians from the club to represent us in the Scór Sinsear competition which will be held in the New Year. We need a ballad group, traditional music group, ceilí or set dancers and anyone interested in putting a short play together. Please contact Bairbre on 089 4218215 if you are interested.
The GAA National Draw was launched recently with some fantastic prizes to be won. This is an important fundraiser for the Club with my all the prizes sponsored by Croke Park and proceeds kept by the Club. Priced at only €10 the tickets are on sale from various Club contacts.

Club Passes are available to purchase now through the Club. The Pass initiative was approved by County Committee in respect of Adult League and Championship Club Games only for 2017, including Under 21 but not including Under 18 and below.
These Passes would be of benefit to Club members who regularly attend All County League and Championship matches.
