RAPHOE LADIES booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Irish Hockey Trophy thanks to a dramatic 3-2 win over Cork Church of Ireland and the Royal and Prior.

Richard Tinney’s team scored the dramatic win thanks to Victoria Wray’s 62nd minute goal.

Wendy Bustard gave Raphoe the lead just before half-time and, five minutes into the second half, they added a second when, after Bustard broke clear, Leanne Patterson stroked home.

Cork Church of Ireland drew level, though, with Christina Dring and Steffi Bowe netting.

However, Raphoe prevailed as Wray scored a magjcal winner late in the day to spark big celebrations among the home faithful.

North-West Newspix were on hand to capture the moments
