ESB workers are working on a major power outage on the outskirts of Letterkenny and in Glenswilly.

A couple of hundred houses are affected by the blackout in the Bomany area, stretching into New Mills and Glenswilly.

“We apologise for the loss of supply,” the ESB says.

“We are currently working to repair a fault and will restore power as quickly as possible.”

Power has been restored in some places, but others are still in darkness.

The weekly bingo at Glenswilly GAA Hall goes ahead as normal tonight at 9pm.
