Job Vacancy: The Cope seeks graphic designer/marketing co-ordinator

The Cope, Dungloe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well organised Graphic Designer / Marketing Co-ordinator for our multi-site retail business to cover Maternity Leave, commencing late February 2017.

The successful candidate will hold a qualification in Design and be able to portray a proven track record in designing for multiple print applications and digital/web based platforms.

A real passion for design is a pre-requisite for this role. A comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Photoshop) is essential.

Any digital/web experience and a knowledge of Magneto would also be an advantage.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running, whilst managing the role efficiently and having the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Managing the production of printed material from creative brief to print and delivery, you will require the ability to work on several design projects at one time.

This will include; monthly point-of- sale, events and promotions, signage, leaflets and advertisements.

The ideal candidate will need to have a flexible approach to workload and have the ability to multi-task and juggle new priorities as they arise.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of material from creative brief to completion
  • Designing a range of artwork and marketing material within Cope brand guidelines
  • Budget management & liaising with suppliers
  • Manage the design and communication of in store events
  • Photography of products and events
  • Writing copy for events and advertisements
  • Web updates
  • Promotion through Social Media platforms

 

Candidate Requirements:

  •  3 + years of graphic design experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in Photoshop is essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Organised, self-disciplined with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Ability to deliver high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Magento is desirable but not essential
  • Retail/retail marketing experience is also desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also on own initiative
