THERE remains a high volume of patients awaiting admission at Letterkenny University Hospital today.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) reports that there are 26 people, 11 of them on Emergency Department trollies, without a bed today at LUH.
Although the figure represents a drop from yesterday – when the hospital had 38, the highest in the country – it remains a significant number.
Nationally, there are 510 people awaiting admission to hospitals across the country today.
