LETTERKENNY’S First Pop Up Restaurant was brought to The Kitchen at Forte Retail Park on Saturday night by Chef Ger Lynch.

A delicious 6 course fine dining tasting menu was served in an elegant setting.

Ger, from Drumoghill, is a daughter of Liam & Mary Lynch and is currently Executive Head Chef at the Kingsley Hotel in Cork.

Ger studied professional cookery at Killybegs a number of years ago.

Since then she has worked in top 5-star hotels around the world including Australia, New Zealand and Thailand as well as in Galway and Dublin before taking up her current position in Cork.

Ger was keen to host her very First Pop Up Restaurant in her hometown of Letterkenny and was delighted that the event sold out to the venue’s 55-seater capacity soon after announcement.

“The feedback from all guests has been amazing; fantastically positive, and I am so overwhelmed by it all,” Ger said.

“Due to the huge demand and great success of the night, I would love to return to my hometown with another Pop Up in the coming months. I want to acknowledge the help and support of Pat Brady and all at The Kitchen too.”

Ger is also becoming quite a regular on RTE 1, demonstrating her cookery skills nationwide with Maura and Daithi on the Today Show.
