Large haul of medals for Swilly Seals at Swim Ulster Development Gala

Thirty Eight Swilly Seals swimmers attended the Swim Ulster Development Gala 2 in Omagh on Saturday.
The objective was to attain qualifying times for progression to a higher level of competition in the Swim Ulster series. Plenty qualifying times were achieved and a large haul of medals also.
Swimmers gaining qualification times were Ellie Maloney, Kayleigh McGuinness, Chloe Shiels and Eilish Russell in the 100m Breaststroke. Ellie Maloney, Shay Maloney, Noah du Plessis and Luke McGuinness made the qualification times in the 100m Individual Medley and in the 200m Individual Medley qualifying times were attained by Isabel du Plessis, Ellie Maloney and Eamon Russell. Shay Maloney claimed a qualification time in the 50m Butterfly also.
Medal winners were Eamon Russell Silver, Isabel du Plessis Silver and Ellie Maloney Gold in the 200m Individual Medley.
Shay Maloney picked up Gold in the 50m Butterfly,Silver in the 100m Free kick and Bronze in the 100m Individual Medley. Kayleigh McGuinness won Bronze in the 50m Butterfly.
Orla Malseed lifted Bronze in the 100m Individual Medley and 50m Butterfly. Luke McGuinness took Bronze in the 100m Individual Medley, Silver in the 50m Butterfly and Gold in the 50m Freestyle. Chloe Shiels claimed Gold in the 100m Breaststroke. The 8x25m Butterfly kick relay of Chloe Shiels, Ellie Maloney, Kayleigh Mc Guinness, Eimear Hegarty, Shay Maloney, Luke Mc Guinness, Joseph Bond and Eamon Russell added another eight Gold medals to the tally on the last event of the day.
The following swimmers had fine swims setting new personal best times also: Caoimhe Bond, Jack Bond, Joseph Bond, James Cassidy, Aoibhinn Ferry, Lauren Hall, Eimear Hegarty, Ellie Martin, Senan Martin, Brooke McCauley, Maeve Mc Clean, Ciara Mc Dermott, David McGinley, Ronan McGinley, Alicia Miranda, Isabelle Miranda, Laoise Morgan, Tadgh Morgan. Oran Mulligan, Cillian Murphy, Sarah Robinson, Riann Sheridan, Lucy Shiels, Molly Shiels, Carla Shiels, Hannah Shiels, Dylan Singaroyan, Brian Sukevics, Michael Sweeney and Ellie May Temple.
The seals will face Newry and Mourne A.S.C this Saturday at home in the 4th round of the Provincial Towns League.
