Two Letterkenny children will get a very happy surprise after school today when they are reunited with their lost pup Pepe.

Pepe the white West Highland Terrier went missing last Saturday, 21st January. He will be returning home today after almost a week away from his loving owners.

Pepe is a close companion of a young boy and girl, aged 10 and 9. Their aunt Marie Hayes reached out to Donegal Daily to help find their 12-year-old pet who has always been a part of their lives.

A woman had found Pepe and provide him with a safe shelter while she searched for his owners.

Marie Hayes told Donegal Daily: “Pepe has be found a lady has him since Saturday and looked after him so well. He will be reunited with the kids at today, all thanks to Donegal Daily. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.”
