Letterkenny Gaels hold camogie presentations at Pairc na nGael

There will be a Referees’ Beginners Course which our Club will host, starting on Wednesday, 1st March in our Club Room. We are appealing to any Club member who may be interested in participating in the above course to contact Jim Mc Glynn on 086 2271435. 

The Camogie presentation evening took place last Friday in the Clubroom. A large crowd of excited girls and parents gathered at Pairc na nGael to celebrate a year of club growth and development at Letterkenny Gaels. Highlights included Come Hurl with Me blitz for girls and parents, U12s in Croke Park and lots of fun and laughs. Club PRO and Club Person of the Year, Mark McFadden presented awards to the girls. As usual there was a generous spread courtesy of parents, thanks to all for your efforts.

Congratulations to award winners on the night. U18 player of the year – Emer McHugh, U14 player of the year – Katie McCarthy, U12 appreciation – Tori Ellis & Ava Tully, Outstanding commitment award 2016 – Eimear ui Bhaoghaill.

Training resumes this Friday 3rd Feb in Lyit from 6pm. 

The Club will be holding a SafeTALK workshop on Monday evening 20th February in the Clubroom. Please contact the Club Health & Wellbeing Officer Oisin Cannon on 086 732 5955 to book your place. 

Indoor Hurling resumes this Thursday 2nd February from 6.30 to 7.30pm in the Aura. The training will continue until 13th March. New members welcome. Hurls and helmets can be provided. 

The Annual Underage Football Presentation also took place at the weekend with a large gathering of children and parents at the Clubroom. County star Neil Gallagher was on hand to make the presentations. 

Under 8 and Under 10’s indoor training resumes for 2017 on Sunday 19th Feb in the Aura from 11am – 12noon. There will be 6 weeks of indoor “skills development” before moving to the pitch at the beginning of April.

U-12 football resumes on Wednesday Feb 1st in the astro turf at Aura until March 15th inclusive from 7-8pm. 

Club Passes are available to purchase now through the Club. The Pass initiative was approved by County Committee in respect of Adult League and Championship Club Games only for 2017, including Under 21 but not including Under 18 and below.

These Passes would be of benefit to Club members who regularly attend All County League and Championship matches.  

The cost of the Pass is €149 and can be purchased by contacting 086 2271435.

In addition to the Club Pass the GAA Adult + Cards are also available to club members and can be purchased online. The purchasing of the card has benefits for both the holder and our Club.  For more details on this please see Club Facebook. 

Bingo continues every Monday in Arena 7. The Jackpot this week is €3600. Lines are €40 and Houses are €130. Doors from 8pm. Eyes down 9pm. All welcome.
