Dance Addictions 2017 truly lived up to its title as every performer and performance demonstrated the addiction to dance, movement, and music.

On Friday February 3rd Pinehill Studio’s Sarah Marie McDevitt presented their live final dance competition 2017 in aid of Donegal Mental Health Service Patient Comfort Fund.

Acts from all over the North West and cross border auditioned before Christmas. 14 of those acts took to the dance floor with vibrancy and energy creating an atmosphere of exhilaration. The performers displayed their talents and skills to an audience of over 500, delighting their very proud teachers, parents and families. These performers enjoyed the creative edge of Lee Gooch Productions as the backdrop to their art. Lee brought to the event his enthusiasm and presentation skills which added to the excitement of this wonderful evening.

Judges Sarah Gillespie of Rinka, Clare McCarron of Elite Dance Academy & Fergal D’Arcy of Today FM had a very difficult job at this year’s competition with the level of talent exceeding everyone’s expectations yet again.

Congratulations to this year’s winner Caoimhe Kenny from Buncrana who walked away with an amazing €1,000 prize, also well done to runners up following very closely behind in 2nd place Jiminy-tastics of Letterkenny Community Centre and in 3rd place TrendSTTRS from Street Feet Dance School in Derry.

Thank you to all other participants Triumph JC, Spraoi, Kai, Destiny, Leon, Molly, Ciara Blaney, Delicacy, Saoirse, Claire & Lorcan and BOW-tastics who all received their Certificate of Participation.

Thank you to last year’s winners Rendition Crew for setting the atmosphere to open Dance Addictions with yet another flawless performance.

Thank you to Pinehill Studios dancers for their amazing showcase during the interval and also to Pinehill Studios crew INFINITY for kicking off the second half with a spectacular routine.

Huge appreciation to all the generous sponsors who helped to make this event a success.
