Letterkenny Institute of Technlogy have been given an away tie in the semi-finals of the CFAI Umbro Cup.

Shane Byrne’s team, who booked their spot in the last four thanks to a 2-1 win over Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa on Wednesday, will be away to IT Sligo in the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are set to be played on the week beginning February 20.

While IT Sligo will be at home to Letterkenny, DIT will meet IT Carlow in the second semi-final.

After going a goal down to Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa during the week, LyIT responded to win a dramatic quarter-final tie thanks to late goals by BJ Banda and Daire McDaid.
