‘First Dates’ are looking for new participants

Several Donegal people have taken part in ‘First Dates’ in an attempt to find someone special.

Some went fantastic, such as Gary O’Brien from Ballyshannon who wooed his date Aine with his Donegal lilt.

However, some didn’t go as well…

On last year’s series Lee forgot the golden rule of what to do when a woman asks you to guess her age; guess at least five years below what you actually think. If she seems shocked by your estimation, don’t continue guessing upwards!

If you didn’t get a chance to apply the first time around, they have now begun accepting applications for those who meet the following criteria;

  • You are over 18 years of age.
  • You a permanent legal resident on the island of Ireland
  • You are not/have not ever been employed by COCO Television and/or the Broadcaster (RTÉ)
  • No member of your household, immediate relative (i.e. mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister) are employed/have ever been employed by COCO Television and/or the Broadcaster (RTÉ).

RTÉ are also looking for background daters, so if the first date jitters have you camera shy you can still take part.
