A huge turn-out is expected at the funeral of tragic road-crash victim John McLaughlin which takes place tomorrow.

The married father-of-two died following a two car collision outside his native Malin Town on Monday evening last.

A dedicated community man, John was on his way to help coach his club’s Under 16 GAA team when the tragedy happened just before 6pm.

John, who lived with wife Mags and the couple’s two children Niamh and Sean in Greencastle, was a hugely respected member of the local community.

His removal took place last night from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain top, Letterkenny to his home in Greencastle.

His funeral will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 23rd at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Meanwhile, Gardai have renewed their appeal for anybody with any information on the crash to contact them at Buncrana Garda station.
