St Michael’s Reserevs defeat Termon in Junior Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta

The reserves had a good victory over Termon in the Junior Gaeltacht Championship at the Bridge on Saturday evening last.  They survived a second half fightback from the visitors to win on a scoreline of St. Michael’s 2-7 Termon 0-10.

The St. Michael’s team and scorers were:  Dean McColgan, James Alcorn, Stephen Horan, Peter Sweeney, Hugh O’Donnell, Paul Creamer, Ruairi Friel, Ciaran Kelly, Daniel Doak, Brendan Rodden, Keelan McGee 0-1, John McFadden 0-1, Shane Langan, Oran McFadden 2-1, Caolan Toye 0-4.

Subs: Dean Fleming, Aaron Bowyer, Lorcan McDaid, James Sharkey and Darragh McCarry.

The reserves play St. Nauls in the next round.

The Seniors are at home to Termon in the Senior Championship on this Sunday the 5th March at the Bridge, the time for this fixture is to be arranged.

Sympathy

The club extends deepest sympathy to Colm and Levina McFadden and family on the death of Colm’s aunt Mary Brady in Philadelphia recently.  Sympathy is also extended to her husband Patrick, and family Rosemary, Ignatius, Patrick, Aideen, James, Thomas, Therese and Michael, to her grandchildren to her brothers and sisters Colm, Joan, Ann, Dominic, Sarah, Catherine and to the entire family circle.

All County League

The All County League gets underway on the 11th March with St. Michael’s playing Four Masters, venue to be arranged.  We are at home to Naomh Conaill on Sunday the 19th at the Bridge.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last.  The numbers drawn were 6,9,13,16,17,18.  There were no match 5 winners;  fourteen people matched 4 and their names were drawn, the winner of the €100 was John McGinley Ards Creeslough who won €100. This weeks Jackpot be €3050.

The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

St. Michael’s Bingo Session

The €75 on the 5th Game at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last was won by Rosaleen McElhinney Roosky Creeslough. The €100 on the Snowball game was won by Philomena Coyle Glen Carrigart.

The Bingo in Creeslough now runs as follows:  There will be 10 games in the book and then the sheet game.

The €1,000 on the sheet game is guaranteed to be won some night.

If it is not won on 47 numbers or less in March it will be 48 for April and so on till someone wins the €1,000.

Single Book including sheet €10 Double Book and Double Sheet €16.

Please come out and support your local Bingo.

Pitch Gates

All Managers and everyone else who uses the Club Naomh Micheál Pitch at The Bridge in are asked to please close the Gate as they leave.

SOS for Photographs!
Nicola is currently gathering photographs for the clubhouse. If anyone has ANY team photographs from winning senior, reserve, u21 or any underage teams in league/championship/Gaeltacht she would really appreciate if you let her know. All hard copies of the photos will be returned to you safely once we make a copy of them or likewise photos can be emailed to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie
Please spread the word as the team photos required date back to 1967!!

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

U8s & U 10s
The football Academy is over now after 8 weeks. It’s was a huge success and great to have so many children attend.  Thanks to all who helped to organise it and to all the children who took part. The Parish League will begin on Sunday 12th March at the Bridge; time to be confirmed next week, and anyone not yet registered can do so at the Parish League.  Club tracksuit orders will also be taken.

U12s
U 12 training this Sunday, March 5th at the Bridge, Dunfanaghy from 3-4pm sharp. New  players welcome . Wear gloves, gum shield & appropriate clothes.  For info contact Danny Martin  087 647 1415.  

U14
Training takes place on Sundays at the Bridge from 12.30pm . Bus leaves Creeslough at 12 noon ; arriving back at 2pm . E 3 for the bus. Any queries , please contact Darragh on 085 160 2976.  Also training on Thursday evening at the Bridge at 6.30pm with the bus leaving Creeslough at 6pm.

Football Academy
An 8 week Football Academy  continues this Sunday, at the Clubhouse at the Bridge , Dunfanaghy for 4 – 6 year olds from 11 – 12am and for 7 – 10 year olds from 12 – 1pm.Looking forward to seeing you all again and new members welcome .

Clothes Bank
A clothes bank is now situated on High St, Creeslough ie around the corner from McNultys Bar in aid of St. Michael’s Minor Board.  If anyone is clearing out presses etc. all donations of clothes, shoes, bags, curtains etc would be much appreciated.
