Michael Murphy impressed more than the Clermont Auvergne players and coaches with his performance in RTE’s Toughest Trade.

As part of the AIB-backed series, Murphy spent a week at the French Top 14 side with Welsh rugby legend Shane Williams lining out for Glenswilly in the other half of the ‘swap’.

Donegal captain Murphy looked right at home at Clermont – and Twitter was gushing in praise of the Glenswilly colossus after the airing of the Toughest Trade programme last night.

What an incredible ambassador for Glenswilly, Donegal & Ireland
Michael Murphy carries himself with class & style at all times#TheToughest

Really enjoyed #TheToughest tonight. Michael Murphy could excel at any sport. The poor Convoy full back had a job keeping with Williams!
