Michael Kelly gets off to a winning start at St Michael’s – derby win over Termon

The Seniors made a winning start under new Manager Michael Kelly when they recorded a good victory over neighbours Termon in the Senior Gaeltacht Championship.  The final score was St. Michael’s 4-12 Termon 0-8.

The St. Michael’s team was Dean McColgan, Stephen Doak, Michael Gallagher, Liam Paul Ferry, Michael Cannon, Ciaran Gallagher, Ciaran Kelly, Martin McElhinney, Christy Toye, Christopher McElhinney, Daniel McLaughlin, Andrew Kelly, Colm Anthony McFadden, Brian McLaughlin and Odhrán McFadden.

All County League

The All County League gets underway on the 12th March with St. Michael’s playing Four Masters, venue to be arranged.  We are at home to Naomh Conaill on Sunday the 19th at the Bridge.

County Championship

Following a vote on Monday night last at the County Board Meeting the County Championship is going ahead in May.  The draws will take place on Saturday in Michael Murphys Sport and Leisure at 2.15pm.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last.  The numbers drawn were 2,6,8,10,11,17.  The match 5 winners were Valerie Robinson Dunfanaghy and Oisin Langan Creeslough who won €50 each. This weeks Jackpot be €3100.

The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.

St. Michael’s Bingo Session

Congratulations to Sharon Rutland Umerafad Creeslough who won €1000 on the Blue Sheet Game at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last.  The €75 on the 5th Game was won by Nimah Harkin Ballymore..

The Bingo in Creeslough now runs as follows:  There will be 10 games in the book and then the sheet game.

The €1,000 on the sheet game will now start at 45 nos or less and if not one in March it will be 46 Nos of less in April  and so on till someone wins the €1,000.

Single Book including sheet €10 Double Book and Double Sheet €16.  Tickets for the Clubs Easter Hamper are also available at the Bingo in Creeslough.

Please come out and support your local Bingo.

Patrons Please note that the 50 Club Draw will take place at the Bingo in Creeslough on this Sunday night the 12th March.

Pitch Gates

All Managers and everyone else who uses the Club Naomh Micheál Pitch at The Bridge in are asked to please close the Gate as they leave.

Nicola is currently gathering photographs for the clubhouse. If anyone has ANY team photographs from winning senior, reserve, u21 or any underage teams in league/championship/Gaeltacht she would really appreciate if you let her know. All hard copies of the photos will be returned to you safely once we make a copy of them or likewise photos can be emailed to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie
Please spread the word as the team photos required date back to 1967!!

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

Parish League
The Parish League will begins this Sunday 12th March at the Bridge; from 11am until 12.30pm.  All boys and girls from 4 to 13 welcome.  Suitable clothing should be worn and remember gumshields are compulsory. Younger children should bring runners in case of bad weather.  Registration will take place and team tracksuits can be ordered.  Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Clothes Bank
A clothes bank is now situated on High St, Creeslough ie around the corner from McNultys Bar in aid of St. Michael’s Minor Board.  If anyone is clearing out presses etc. all donations of clothes, shoes, bags, curtains etc would be much appreciated.
