Sean MacCumhaills GAA club to hold Jigsaw presentation on Thursday

The football season starts again this weekend coming with our reserves and seniors travelling to play Termon. Once times are confirmed we’ll post on social media.

 

Donegal Games:

Well done to both Donegal teams at the weekend. On Saturday Martin O’Reilly and Donegal put in a fine displace and overcame Cavan in Breffni Park and the Hurlers recorded a fine win over Tyrone in O’Donnell Park on the Sunday with Jamsie Donnelly and Lee Henderson featuring and Del Laverty, Jamie De Ward and Sean Curran also a part of the panel.

 

Jigsaw Presentation:

The Sean Mac Cumhaills Club is holding a presentation evening in the Villa Rose Hotel on Thursday the 9th of March at 7.30pm. The theme of the evening is Young People’s Health in Mind and we are delighted that Jigsaw Donegal will be giving a talk to those present. The talk will be aimed at coaches/mentors and indeed anyone who is in contact with young people and can help to identify any issues a young person may be facing and can offer assistance and guidance on how to best help. Along with our own club coaches we are inviting members of other clubs in the area to attend this talk. Anyone who wishes to attend can you please contact Maureen Mc Glinchey on 085 747 1627 ASAP this week to confirm attendance.

 

Under-14 Boys Football:

Training for the boys U14 Gaelic team starts this coming Wednesday 8th March from 6 to 7 on the Astro pitch, for boys born in ’03 & ’04. Please bring gum shield, water, weather appropriate gear and €3.

 

Registration:

Registration is now due. Club membership forms for Juvenile, Adult and Family are available from all club coaches/managers and to download from our website (www.seanmaccumhaill.com).  Registration is extremely important and non-registration will result in yourself or your child not being insured and unable to train or play for the club so please register as soon as possible. New members are more than welcome. Membership must be paid before March 31st, please ensure you register before this date.

 

Bingo:

The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.

 

Lotto:

There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 14, 15, 16 and 26. There was one match three winner of €150: Evan Mc Devitt, Glencovitt. This week’s jackpot is still a massive €10,000. John Lillis’ team is selling this week. The club are asking for people to help out by selling lotto’s. All help available would be greatly appreciated. If interested please contact Terry O’Reilly on 086 609 5347.

 

Club Shop:

The club shop is now open on a Wednesday evening from 6.30 to 7.15pm. The shop has club crested shorts, socks and bags. We also have small sized hurling helmets in club colours with crest now half price at €55. The Club Shop also has a very limited number of new club items remaining in stock from the order before Christmas.

 

Club Notes:

Any member wishing to have items added to the club notes can email maccumhaillspro@gmail.com before Sunday for inclusion.

 

Donegal Yearbook:

The Donegal yearbook is now on sale. Please contact Eugene Gallagher on 086 609 8801 for a copy. This is a great book to have to look back on all the events of 2016 filled with pictures and info on each club. Book priced at €12.

 

Training Schedule:

Training takes place at the club unless otherwise specified. If there is a change of time/location it will be noted on Facebook or sent via text from the team manager. Training will cost €3 once a week and all players must have their membership paid. Please bring gum shield/helmet and a bottle of water. Other training info sent via group messages/Facebook.

U6/U8/U10/U12 Hurling:  Sunday at 1.00pm

U-8 Football: Saturday Mornings at 10.30am.

U-10 Football: Saturday Mornings at 10.30am.

U-8/U-10s Hurling: Sunday at 12.30pm.

U-12 Boys Football: Wednesday at 7.00pm.

U-12 Girls Football:  Friday at 7.30 – 9.00pm in St. Columba’s Hall.

U-14 Girls Football: Tuesday at 6.00pm.

U-14 Boys Football: Wednesday at 6.00pm
