Coláiste Chineál Eoghain, Buncrana are very excited to be celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge this year, possibly more than any other year.

Actor Art Parkinson, a third year pupil in CCE, has been named as one of the Ambassadors for Seachtain na Gaeilge le Energia 2017. He has been travelling far and wide with the campaign to promote An Ghaeilge and the Irish culture.

To celebrate this occasion, CCE are excited to be welcoming ‘Seo Linn’ to the school on the 15th of March next. They are coming to do a workshop with students and students from other schools in the locality are invited to attend the workshops also.

Coláiste Chineál Eoghain, Gaelscoil Bhun Cranncha, Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail, Naíonra Bhun Chranncha and Naíscoil Dhomhnach Óg are also hosting a Seo Linn concert in the Plaza, Buncrana on that same night, 15 March @ 7.30. Tickets are available locally and from the above mentioned schools.

The following day a cohort of students from CCE are traveling to Dublin to visit Facebook HQ and to attend a lecture on how to use social media as Gaeilge!

There are lots of other fun activities happening in CCE throughout Seachtain na Gaeilge and beyond, such as Foróige club running a bilingual club in CCE Thursdays @ 5.30 for youths looking to improve their Irish in a fun youth led environment.

They have also commenced spoken Irish class for adults in the school on Wednesday evenings @ 7.00. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for more updates!
