A new advertisement is set to air on TV3, 3be and 3e for one week in the lead into the Easter holiday period.
The 30-second advert will be the second of its kind to air by Donegal Tourism promoting Donegal as a number one choice for a holiday in Ireland, highlighting Donegal’s as recently winning the Coolest Place in the World to visit by National Geographic traveller.
The TV ad is part of extensive marketing initiative, which has been devised to promote the county nationally and internationally through a significant campaign.
This campaign will include further national radio competitions set to take place along with a campaign in Belfast, Derry airport, Donegal airport, Knock Airport and TV screens in Connolly Station, Pearse St Station and Busaras in Dublin.
An international campaign is also kicking off in Germany and France and Donegal Tourism have created a bilingual video in French and German which will be advertised to these markets in the coming weeks.
Donegal will also feature extensively on the TV national events guide and a brand will be promotion Donegal on a number of trade events.
The Go Visit Donegal website was officially launched in 2014 and has been promoting Donegal as a must see tourism destination since then with an extensive marketing and communication plan.
www.govisitdonegal.com achieves approximately 250,000 visitors per annum and is supported by a full social media campaign and offline PR communications.
The brand also hosts a free smart phone app, both the app and the website offer all businesses in Donegal a free opportunity for listing and hosts a free event guide listing for all festival and event organisers.
