Find a parade near you in our guide to Donegal’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations!

Towns and villages across Donegal will go green tomorrow to celebrate St Patrick’s Day – here’s a comprehensive list of all the parades happening at a town near you!

 

Ballybofey & Stranorlar

Come Along for a fun filled family day at the 2017 St Patricks Day Parade!! This event will kick off at 3pm from Stranorlar on Friday 17th of March.

Ballyshannon

The parade will start on Tir Conail St, before travelling along Main St, Beleek Rd and back via the Port to the Market Yard. The route of the parade will close from 2pm until 3pm.

 Bunbeg

The parade will start at Bunbeg Crossroads at 2.30pm. It will consist of marching bands, floats etc and it will finish at Derrybeg.

Buncrana, Inishowen

The Annual St Patrick’s Day will be held in Buncrana on Friday at 2.30pm.

There will be a Fun Day in The Plaza on St Patrick’s Day from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

There will be lots of entertainment on the day, with Bouncy Castles, Face Painting and much more.

Bundoran

The annual  St. Patrick’s Day parade will take place on Friday, March 17th at 3.30pm starting at East End, routing through Main Street to  the West End.

 

Burtonport

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Burtonport will be held from 12pm – 2pm at St. Columba’s Community Centre.

 

Donegal Town

Enjoy the Craic and Festivities in the Heart of Donegal Town this St. Patrick’s Day. The St. Patrick’s Parade in Donegal Town will take place on 17th March at 3pm.

 

Downings

The St Patrick’s Evening Parade starts at McNutt’s Carpark at 4.30pm sharp/.

 

Dungloe

The Dungloe parade gets underway at 3pm and there will be marching bands, fun floats, traditional music and Disney characters. The parade is to celebrate 129 years of St Patrick’s Day Parades in Dungloe.

 

Falcarragh

Come along to Falcarragh on St. Patrick’s Day & join in on all the celebrations. The Parade starts @ 4pm and we are asking all Groups, Organisaions, Businesses & Members of the Public to enter – the theme this year will be “Is glas iad na cnoic i bhfad uainn”/”Far away hills are greener”.

Glencolmcille

Parade starts at the Folk Village at 4pm

 

Glenties

Glenties is set to make history as the location of Ireland’s first St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year. A parade will be held at one minute past midnight on March 17th! If you are planning to attend you can expect to see the Letterkenny Accordion Band, the Dungloe Band, the Killakee Band and two Donegal Town bands.

 

Killybegs

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Killybegs will take place on Friday, 17th March at 3pm. Cash prize for the best float on the day!

Letterkenny

Join Letterkenny for the biggest & best St. Patrick’s Day parade in Donegal, a family fun themed day celebrating all things Irish with lots of music, colour & dance – starts at 3pm

Mevagh

Mevagh’s annual St Patrick’s Day parade starts at 1pm. This year the theme is ‘Donegal is Cool, Mevagh is Cooler’

 

Moville

The Moville St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on 17th March at 2.30pm and will feature bands, floats, a concert by local school children preforming music, song and dance.
