RTE’s amazing Lyric fm Quartet coming to Donegal

RTÉ’s lyric fm is coming to Donegal.

The national broadcaster is pleased to present a new stream of Education and Outreach activity May 8th to 12th with the RTÉ lyric fm Quartet

Music for all Ages with Evelyn Grant and the RTÉ lyric fm quartet, will visit the county from May 8th to 12th.

This is an engaging and entertaining RTÉ lyric fm outreach programme of live music performances in education and community settings.

This year’s RTÉ lyric fm Quartet is led by RTÉ lyric fm presenter Evelyn Grant (flute/piano), who will be joined by Mary McCague (violin/piano), Jean Kelly (Harp), and Gerry Kelly (‘cello).

The quartet is presenting ten concerts in County Donegal. The programme will take place in primary and post primary schools, care homes, and third level institutions.

The RTÉ lyric fm Quartet gave their most recent performances over five days at the Bloom Festival in the Phoenix Park. They have presented outreach programmes for RTÉ lyric fm, in Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Westmeath, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford,Waterford, Cavan, Monaghan, Louth and Meath.

All programmes are delivered within the concept of Life-long learning – “Listen, Engage, Enjoy” and the programmes are tailored to the individual settings. These outreach concerts are provided free as part of RTÉ’s public service commitment.
