Liam Whyte and Councillor Micheál Mac Giolla Easbuig met with management of Ulster bank in Ardara yesterday to express their concerns over the impact the bank closure will have on the community.

After the meeting they met with local businesses in Ardara, where they expressed concerns over the future of their own businesses and the impact it will have on the community.

A public meeting has been organised for Monday night in the Nesbitt Arms Hotel at 8pm where the community can voice their concerns regarding the bank closure.

Liam Whyte said; “We pressed upon the importance of the bank being kept open for the community. We were told that this decision is final and that the bank would close its doors for the last time on the 9th of December.
