The North West Hearing Clinic – listening to people’s needs for almost 20 years

Along with their sight, a person’s hearing is one of the most important aspects of their well-being.

Padraig MacGinty recognised this factor when he established The North West Hearing Clinic 19 years ago in Letterkenny.

Since then he has been serving the needs of people with a hearing impairment from all over the North West region including throughout Donegal.

The demand to cater for the well-being of people’s hearing was evident.

Ten years ago he opened his second shop in Sligo and since then The Sligo Hearing Aid Centre has also become the place to go to for professional advice, top quality hearing aids and earwax removal.

Padraig MacGinty

Padraig is a Fellow of both the British and Irish Societies of Hearing Aid Audiology. He is the Registrar of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiology.

He says “the most reason people don’t want to get their hearing checked is because they are afraid they may need hearing aids.

“However a simple look into the ear, very often reveals an ear canal full of wax that just needs to be extracted!

“Years ago hearing aids were very cumbersome and unsightly that whistled a lot. Now they are very discreet, digitally intelligent and giving unimaginable results.

“The world of hearing aid manufacturing has come a long way in recent years thankfully”.
