Big hopes for Wish Day 2017 to help make dreams come true

This Friday 31st March will see local volunteers and transition year students from two local schools take to the streets of Letterkenny, collecting at a variety of locations in the town and throughout Donegal.

You can help Make-A-Wish Ireland continue to grant wishes to children in Ireland who are battling life-threatening illnesses by donating and supporting this worthwhile cause.

Volunteers will be out in force selling Make-A-Wish wristbands for €2. Make-A-Wish receives no government funding and relies on the kindness and generosity of the public to allow them to continue granting wishes and making lifetime memories for children living with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

A wish granted has an immeasurable impact on children and their family which extends far beyond the wish experience, creating happy memories for the wish child and their family.

Last year, Make-A-Wish granted wishes to 6 local Donegal children and 2017 will see Make-A-Wish grant its 2000th wish in Ireland.

You can help the team continue making wishes come true by supporting Make-A-Wish on Wish Day, this Friday. If you can’t make it out to buy a wristband, you can make a one-off €2 donation by texting WISHES to 50300. 100% of the text cost goes to Make-A-Wish across most network providers. Some providers apply VAT, which means a minimum of €1.63 will go to Make-A-Wish. Service provider LIKECHARITY 014433890.
