Beautiful Danielle to be finally laid to rest today

The family of tragic Danielle McLaughlin will say a final farewell to the young woman who touched so many hearts in her short life.

The Buncrana woman, 28, will be buried following mass at Cockhill Chapel today, more than two weeks after she was brutally murdered in India.

Hundreds are expected at the funeral mass as Inishowen is once again forced to deal with an unexpected tragedy.

Friends of Danielle are encouraging those planning on attending her funeral to wear bright clothes instead of the traditional darker clothing worn at funerals.

Christy Duffy and Louise McMenamin say Danielle’s family want people to remember a young woman who was “bright and vibrant.”

Danielle is to be buried in a wicker coffin.

The chief mourners will be her heartbroken mum Andrea and four younger sisters.

So tragic – beautiful Danielle McLaughlin.
