Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating a serious assault on a man in his early 20s which occurred at a business premises at Meenmore, Dungloe.
The alleged incident happened on the 26th March 2017 at approximately 12.30am.
Gardai would not confirm speculation as to the nature of the assault.
A man in his 40s was arrested and detained at Milford Garda Station under section 4.
He was later released without charge and file is being prepared for the DPP.
Gardai have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
