Were you in the St Eunan’s Class of ’67?

A call has gone out to all former students who did their Leaving Certificate in St. Eunan’s College in 1967 and also anyone else who started out their journey with them back in September 1962.

It’s now fifty years since they went their separate ways out into the World and since then, they’ve never actually got together for a reunion.

Fifty years later, “it’s now or never,” says Kieran McFadden, one of a small group that has been set up who want to mark their time together with a reunion in Dillon’s Hotel, Letterkenny and St. Eunan’s College on Saturday 28th October, 2017. (further details of the reunion will go out with the invitations).

One of the big challenges facing the organisers, given the time that has elapsed and the fact that former classmates are scattered all over the country and the World, is getting contact details for as many of them as possible.

One of the ways in which they are trying to do this is by appealing to anyone who can help: former classmates, family members or friends to get in touch with any of the organisers, whose contact details are below, with either postal addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers or all of these. Even from small beginnings, the information will quickly multiply so that all former classmates can be contacted with invitations and reunion details as soon as possible so they can plan ahead.

The seed has now been sown and the organisers are really excited about what they see will be a significant event in their lives.

“We’d really like to meet you all again, shake your hands and be thankful that we’re around to do this, mindful of the significant number of our former classmates who have passed away. It’s been too long,” says Eddie McDaid, another one of the organisers.

If you know of and have contact details for anybody who journeyed in whole or in part with the Class of 1962 – 1967 in St. Eunan’s College, please get in touch as soon as you possibly can with any of the people listed below. They need this help and it will be hugely appreciated.
