Banda named as Player of the Week by popular LOI website

Finn Harps striker BJ Banda has been named as the Premier Division Player of the Week by a popular League of Ireland website.

Banda has been named by ‘League of Ireland’ – https://theleagueofireland.wordpress.com/ – as their Player of the Week following his Man of the Match performance in last week’s derby win over Derry City at Maginn Park.

Banda came off the bench after just 22 minutes to replace the injured Jonny Bonner.

The 18-year-old scored Harps’ first goal in the 2-0 win but, after sustaining a knee injury on Monday in the EA Sports Cup game against Sligo Rovers, he now faces a spell on the sidelines.
