Hoping ‘a Trim and a Tidy’ can help little Caolan Melaugh

The Butt Drama Circle present their original sketch ‘Ben & Eddie: A Trim & A Tidy’ this Thursday and Friday night at the Balor Theatre in aid of the Caolan Melaugh fund and Ballybofey Utd FC.

Back by popular demand direct from Navenny Street barbers, the famous Ben & Eddie bring their mad cap humour to the Balor stage and this time it’s personal. Well actually it isn’t.

A night of mayhem is promised as the trio of Shaun Byrne (Eddie), Pauric Duffy (Ben) and Gerry Byrne (Everybody else!) return with not one, not even two, but three Ben & Eddie sketches.

Join them and a host of local talent for the original ‘A Trim and a Tidy’ as well as two new pieces, ‘Horse walks into a Barbers’ and ‘Top Trumps’.

There’ll be songs, music and laughter. There might even be a raffle. Don’t say you weren’t toult!

The boys will be joined on stage on the night by Jessica and Adam Hannigan, recent winners of the prestigious €5,000 Opportunity Knocks competition in The Abbey Hotel. Mad Marcus, AKA Mark McIntyre, will be performing some Elvis hits and famous Letterkenny stand-up comedian, Andy McGranaghan, will guarantee more laughs. ‘Shannigans’, a local teenage Thin Lizzy cover band, will also rock the stage as will trad super band ‘Ceili House.’

Master of Ceremonies on the night will be the infamous Paddy McMenamin.
The event starts at 8pm ‘sharp’ each night and admission is just €10.
