Loreto Letterkenny’s project Little Things has raised €7,403 for youth mental health organisation Jigsaw.

Class Fionn and Ms Mary McFadden presented the cheque to Jigsaw earlier this week.

The funds were raised through the sale of their book “Little Things” and their Lip Sync Battle.

The book was written by students, including stories and poetry.

A spokesperson for Little Things thanked everyone who helped out, donated, and supported the project in any way.

“The project was fuelled by the energy and enthusiasm of the staff and students in Loreto Letterkenny! The amazing good will and support of individuals and businesses in our community allowed us to have free entry to the [Lip Sync Battle]! So considering it was an entirely free event €7400 is incredible!

“Your mental health is very precious so make sure you take of yours and look out for those around you.”

The project kicked off on May 6th 2016, with 1,000 people leaving the event at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny more aware and educated on mental health.

Jigsaw provide young people between the ages of 15 and 25 with free confidential support. To learn more about Jigsaw you can visit their website.
