It is this charity’s flagship annual fundraising and awareness event. It started with approximately 400 people in the now iconic yellow Darkness into Light t-shirts walking the 5km course in Dublin’s Phoenix Park in 2009.
These events help to promote suicide prevention and to tackle the stigma surrounding mental health, spreading the message that it’s okay not to be okay.
The Northwest Pieta House will officially open in Letterkenny on May 15th due to the generosity and fundraising efforts of our community.
Their largest fundraising event, the charity receives 14% of its funds from the government and must source the rest from donations.Tags:
