The Donegal Ladies GAA Board is holding its major fundraiser of 2017, the annual Golf Classic, on Friday-week, May 19, at Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club.

A big day is in store with €2,000 worth of prizes on offer as well as some signed merchandise from tour professionals Padraig Harrington and Andrew Johnson.

To sponsor a tee or to enter a team cost €100 and teams can be entered by calling the B&S Golf Club on 074 91-31093.

The Classic is in aid of all Donegal Ladies teams.

The ladies game in the county is on a high these days. The senior ladies reached the Lidl National League Division 1 final, which they lost to Cork on Sunday by a point, and have high hopes for the Championship campaign in the summer.

This Sunday, Liam Skelly’s Donegal Under-16s will line out in the Ulster Under-16 final.
