Talented Letterkenny jockey, Dylan Browne McMonagle, pictured, begins his quest to be the north west champion jockey at the opening meeting of the new season at Porthall on Sunday, May 14th.

The teenage sensation, who landed a famous Dingle Derby win in 2015, looks certain to be among the winners at the Lifford for his uncle, Adrian Browne.

Dylan is expected to pushed all the way this year by young Pat Taaffe, grandson of the legendary Pat Taaffe and son of jockey, Tom Taaffe.

First race of an eight-race card is off at 2.30 pm.
