Donegal captain Michael Murphy is throwing his support behind Inishowen Motors in tomorrow’s much-anticipated Donegal International Car Push 2017.

The Donegal International Car Push for Relay for Life Donegal takes place Thursday, 25th May at 7.30pm, starting at Mulroy’s Lane, Canal Road, Letterkenny.

Inishowen Motors is one of eleven Donegal car dealerships supporting the event, which will see each team push their car 3k under the navigation of a rally driver. The event culminates with a 5km fun run/walk.  After both events are finished there will be prizegiving ceremony on the finish ramp with the presentations being made by Donegal Rose Amy Callaghan.

Those taking part are Inishowen Motors: Divers Hyundai: DMG Motors: Donaghey Fiat: Hegartys Ford: Highland Motors: JJ Reids Motors:  Kellys Toyota: Manor Motors: Mc Ginley Motors: S&R Motors.

The race will see cars being pushed by staff members of each garage. To add to the excitement and the fun of the event each dealer is getting a Rally Driver/Celebrity to steer the car around the course. The fastest time earns that garage bragging rights for a full year!

The winner of last year’s Joule Donegal International Rally, Manus Kelly will be behind the wheel for Inishowen Motors and Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure is proud to be among the sponsors of the Inishowen Motors team. The Donegal captain is pictured above showing his support for the event, along with Anthea Hegarty and Caroline Cunningham of Inishowen Motors.

All funds raised before and during the Relay for Life Donegal event this year will go directly to a major research programme presently underway at Letterkenny University Hospital for cancer survivors.

May the best team win!

Don’t forget: Relay for Life Donegal takes place on Saturday 27th/Sunday 28th. May at Letterkenny LYIT
