Police have charged one of two men arrested over a string of offences in Derry and Donegal this weekend.
The pair’s crime spree allegedly began with the theft of a car in Donegal on Friday evening, before making their way across the border to Derry.
All incidents occurred late on Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The accused 28-year-old man is being charged with robbery, theft, burglary and handling property stolen in the Republic of Ireland. He is due to appear before Derry Magistrates’ court tomorrow.
A 21-year-old was also arrested for a string of offences which all occurred in Derry; he was arrested by police investigating a hit-and-run on the Buncrana Road, an attempt to mug an elderly woman parking her car, and a burglary.
Investigations are ongoing.
