The local road between Bridgend and Birdstown is closed this morning after a fire broke out at McIntyre`s 19th Hole Bar.

Emergency services are continuing to deal with the incident at the bar outside Bridgend.

The fire is thought to have started at approx 3am this morning (Thursday) and fire services from both sides of the border fought the blaze throughout the night.

There are no reported injuries, although the building has been badly damaged.
