Forensic teams are en route to investigate the scene of a fire at an iconic bar this morning outside Bridgend, Co. Donegal.

McIntyre`s 19th Hole Bar went up in flames in the early hours of the morning and emergency fire crews were called to the scene. The fire has now been extinguished after a major operation.

Firefighters from Buncrana, Letterkenny and Northern Ireland battled the flames through the night. Emergency responders from the Gardai, Ambulance services, ESB and the County Council Roads Authority were also called to the scene.

The fire was eventually brought under control and nobody was hurt as the building was empty. However, extensive damage was caused.
