What is your favourite place in Donegal and why?

St John’s Point any time of the year, the view back to Slieve League is spectacular

 

If you could change one thing about Donegal what would it be?

The mindset of people who believe that Donegal is on the moon.

 

Seamus Coleman or Michael Murphy?

Has to be the Killybegs man Seamus Coleman.

 

Who is the one person in Donegal who you look up to and why?

Jim McGuinness for his drive and determination.

 

What’s your happiest memory in Donegal?

The All Ireland win in 1992.

 

Your nomination for Donegal’s most stylish person?

Apart from myself?? Has to be Noel Cunningham.

 

Your nomination for Donegal’s most stylish person?

There are so many but I think coming over the Pettigo road coming home.

Football Special or Kinnegar Beer?

Kinnegar Beer.

 

What has been Donegal’s proudest moment in recent years?

Voting yes in the Marraige Equality Referendum.

 

What is your favourite Donegal-made product?

Baskin’s chips

 

Who is Donegal’s greatest ambassador around the world and why?

Clannad, they put Donegal culture and music on the map.

 

Who is your favourite Donegal sportsperson of all time?

Barry McGowan.

 

What is your favourite Donegal restaurant?

Chandpur Indian Restaurant in Donegal Town

 

What is your favourite Donegal saying or expression?

Wild or tight (Day, Crack, Man, Woman)

 

What is the biggest challenge facing the people of Donegal today?

Dealing with the mindset that thinks Donegal is on the moon

 

What is your favourite food that you associate with Donegal?

Smoked Mackerel especially Island Seafoods Atlantic Treasures.

 

Is there anything that really annoys you about Donegal or its people?

Can’t say that there is.

 

If you had a million euro to improve something in Donegal, what would it be?

Only a million? I’d use it to make some heritage sites into visitor attractions.

 

Where’s the most unusual place you’ve logged on to Donegal Daily?

Krakow, Poland.

 

Is there anything about Donegal that you are very proud of?

That you can leave your door open and don’t have to lock the car all the time.
