This week, we are reminding you to come along to our Fun Filled Strawberry Festival on Saturday, July 1st ,1-5p.m in the gardens of Castle Grove, our first Strawberry festival as part of the Donegal Food Coast Initiative.
Donegal Food Coast Initiative aim to create awareness within Donegal and nationally of the range of quality food producers and providers in the county and the role they play for the local economy, while developing awareness of Donegal as a destination for exceptional food experiences.
As a proud promoter of Donegal businesses, Castle Grove will also be participating in the Taste of Donegal Festival in Donegal Town in August and Off the Street LK food festival in Letterkenny. These events will attract visitors on the Wild Atlantic Way to Donegal and Letterkenny.
With weeks of planning nearing an end, we are delighted to announce the plans for our Strawberry Festival on the 1st July from 1pm-5pm.
Bring your friends and family to enjoy an afternoon of Castle Grove’s hospitality with:
- Free admission:
- Walled Garden tour…. Scheduled at regular intervals, groups will be escorted around the walled garden, seeing the variety of plants, vegetables and of course strawberries which grow there.
- Cookery demonstration scheduled at 2pm and 4pm. Our head chef will demonstrate how to make a strawberry dessert… with samples and recipe cards for his audience.
- Cocktail demonstrations…. At regular intervals, our in-house mixologist will create a delicious cocktail on the lawn…. Watch out for our very special Secret Ingredient!
- Live music on the front lawn to entertain while guests enjoy the gardens, demonstrations etc.
- BBQ- Weather Permitting- with gourmet burgers etc.
- Free face painting for kids on the lawn
- Food and drinks available inside and out for purchase.
So, with FREE ADMISSION, there is no excuse not to gather up your friends and family for a great day out…. Don’t forget to bring the sunshine!!
