Donegal County Council and Failte Ireland wish to advise the public that road surfacing works will take place at Ardmalin, Malin Head next week.

The works will be carried out on Tuesday 27th , Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th June 2017.

In the interest of health & safety, access to the Signature Discovery point along the local road, L5011-1, will be prohibited for periods, on these dates, particularly during working hours. Visitors planning to visit the site are asked to contact Donegal County Council on (074) 9153900 for an update on the progress of the works.

These works are being carried out as part of the Malin Head Access & Amenity Improvement Project which include:

  • Road widening to accommodate passing bays, associated drainage improvements and surfacing
  • Localised road widening adjacent to the lower carpark, to accommodate bus parking spaces
  • Extending existing car park facilities to incorporate additional car parking spaces
  • Construction of a toilet block
  • Provision of services and utilities via the public road

Donegal County Council and Failte Ireland wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the planned road surfacing works.
