Chandpur Indian Restaurant in Donegal Town are celebrating more victories after being named as the best Asian Restaurant in Ulster and the Best Chef in Ulster at the Asian Food Awards.

The first ever Asian Food Awards were presented at a vibrant ceremony last night (Tuesday) at the City North Hotel Dublin.

Chandpur owners Rana and Susan Miah were over the moon to receive regional prizes for Restaurant of the Year 2017, while Head Chef Rana took home the Chef of the Year 2017 title.

“We are so proud and delighted. Thank you to our fantastic team and amazing customers.

“What an amazing night and recognition for Asian food,” Susan said.

These awards were set up by NI Media, the publishers of the highly regarded YesChef magazine, in order to recognise the best of Asian chefs and restaurants.

Chandpur is a Bangladeshi restaurant which has earned a highly decorated list of achievements since it opened in Donegal Town in 2012.

Just last week the team won a coveted 5 Star Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.com. The restaurant is firmly placed at the top spot on the travel review site as the number one restaurant in Donegal Town and the entire county.
