Kernans assure quality oil with top achievement

Kernans of Donegal have earned the Top Oil Quality Assurance Certificate at each of their four forecourts across Donegal.

The renowned group, which has built a considerable reputation for its quality fuel, are now celebrating the achievement of the Top Oil Quality Assurance Certificate at the forecourts in Newtowncunningham, Ramelton, Drumkeen and Newmills Tullygay.

This means Kernans have demonstrated compliance for the quality of fuel and standards under the requirements of the Top Oil Quality Assurance Scheme.

Speaking to Donegal Daily, Anthony explained that one of the main decisions that helped him push the business forward was his partnership with leading Irish owned fuel provider Top Oil.

“All our sites are Top Oil,” Anthony said. “I have a good relationship with them and when you have a good partnership approach, it’s much easier to develop other sites”.

Anthony said he and Top Oil shared a lot of “common ground” in terms of ambition and market positioning, which he expects will help develop further sites and opportunities going forward.

“It’s a really strong Irish brand, and I love the livery, the colours are modern and fresh and very appealing to customers,” he said.

“Top Oil’s approach is all about providing quality fuel and its brand is strong and reliable.”

What is also important for Anthony is the fuel company’s adaptability, and readiness to change to best suit the market.

“Top Oil is constantly evolving their approach,” he said. “That’s a really important process for any business and helps keep the brand fresh and attractive.”

The partnership and close working relationship with Top Oil aligns strongly with Anthony’s approach to building the company.

About Top Oil’s Quality Assurance:

At Top Oil, Quality Assurance is a way of monitoring and preventing defects in products and avoiding problems when delivering our solutions or services to customers.

For us, our program is an annual quality check to ensure that all expectations are exceeded by our customers. The program comprises administrative and procedural activities implemented in a quality system so that requirements and goals for our products, services and activity will be fulfilled.

Quality assurance includes two principles: “Fit for purpose” (the product should be suitable for the intended purpose); and “right first time” (mistakes should be eliminated). Our QA includes management of the quality of materials, products and components, services related to production, and management, production and inspection processes.
