Veteran journalist Vincent Browne is to present his last episode of ‘Tonight with Vincent Browne’ at the end of this month.

The Sunday Times report that Browne’s contract will not be renewed.

The show attracts an average of 120,000 viewers, however recently this has fallen to 80,000 viewers on some episodes.

Browne, who is set to turn 73 this month, has been presenting the show since January 2007.

It is unknown whether another presenter will continue to present the show following Browne’s departure.

This is a real shame. Few hold politicians to account like Vincent Browne. He’ll be sorely missed #vinb https://t.co/4P0P95zc3P
