Ireland’s most successful homegrown fast food chains is to open its first Co Donegal outlet.

Supermac’s is Ireland’s largest and fastest-growing indigenous fast food restaurant group with more than 100 eateries across Ireland.

And now the first Supermac’s in Donegal is set to open in Donegal Town later this year.

The exact date of the opening has yet to be revealed.

The new fast food takeaway, a favourite amongst many Irish food fans, will employ more than 20 people when it starts up its grills to cook its famous burgers and fries.

The first Supermac’s opened its doors as far back as 1978 in Main Street, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

Since then, Supermac’s has gone from strength to strength with a turnover well in excess of €82m and well over 2500 employees.

Supermac’s was founded by Pat McDonagh, the Company’s Managing Director and a school teacher by profession.
