Malin 5k and fun run in aid of RNLI to take place on Sunday

Following on from the success of last year’s eighth Malin 5K, INISH Pharmacy are delighted to once again sponsor the 5K Road Race and the Malin Mile.

On Sunday, the Malin Mile Fun Run takes place at 11:05am and the Malin 5k kicks off at 11:30am.

There is a €10 race entry for all 5K participants. All the entry fee money goes directly to the RNLI. INISH Pharmacy contributes the prize money and are delighted to do so and support these events and the RNLI.

 

Malin 5K Road Race @ 11.30am

Open Race – aged 18 and over

1st €75
2nd €50
3rd €40

Age Categories:
Age 35-39 – First to finish €30 (Female category only)
Age 40-44 – First to finish €30
Age 45-49 – First to finish €30
Age 50-54 – First to finish €30
Age 55-59 – First to finish €30
Age 60 and over – First to finish €30

Both male and female categories.

If the race record is beaten then an additional €30 will be given to the 1st placed male and female winners.

The male record is currently 15 minutes and 26 seconds (15.26). This is also held by Patrick Brennan (Letterkenny AC).

The female record is currently 18 minutes and 41 seconds. This is held by Helena Crossan (Inishowen AC) in a time of 18 minutes and 41 seconds.

Walkers are not only welcome but also very much encouraged. Anyone who registers as a ‘Walker’ will be entered a draw for one of three €20 Inish Pharmacy Gift Vouchers.

All proceeds go to the RNLI.
