Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Tuesday, July 18.

 

Alexander ARMSTRONG
The death has occurred at Brindley Manor Nursing Home, Convoy of Alexander Armstrong, much loved brother of James and the late Richard, Willie, Joseph, Minnie and Annie. Sadly missed by his brother, nieces, nephews, extended family circle, neighbours and friends. Late of Creggan, Ballybofey.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Tuesday, July 18th, from 6pm to 9pm. Funeral leaving the funeral home on Wednesday, July 19th, at 1.30 pm for Service of Thanksgiving in Stranorlar Parish Church, Stranorlar at 2pm, with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, Brindley Manor Patients’ Comfort Fund, c/o any family member.

 

Anne O’CONNOR (née Hernan)
The death has occurred of Anne O’Connor (née Hernan), ‘Tonevane’ Upper Newcastle, Galway City, Galway / Donegal / Kerry; (formerly of Liverpool), after a short illness, at the Galway Clinic. Daughter of the late Mary and Leo Hernan, beloved wife of Derry and much loved mother of Dermot, Paul, Marc, Anne (Keane) and the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her husband and children, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, her fifteen grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday 20th July from 2.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Removal from her home on Friday 21st July to St. Ignatius Church, Sea Road, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral afterwards to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Cancer Care West.

 

Brian MC DAID
The death as taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Brian McDaid. Removal from Marley’s Funeral Home, Drumany, Letterkenny at 6 p.m. going to his late residence at Ballybotemple, Cloghan via Glenswilly.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in the Church of our Lady Perpetual Succour, Glenfin. Burial afterwards in Cill Mhuire Cemetery. No flowers, donations in lieu of Meningitis Research Fund, care of any family member.


Matilda DUGAN (née McIntyre)

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Matilda (Tilly) Dugan née McIntyre much loved wife of the late Edwin Dugan, mother of Mervyn, sister of John McIntyre (Birmingham) Grandmother of Steven, Alan and Rachel, sadly missed by her son, brother, sister-in-law, daugher in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Removal from Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Letterkenny at 6.00pm, Tuesday 18th July 2017, reposing at her home at Glebe Cottage from 7.30pm, 18th July 2017. Funeral leaving her home at 1.30pm on Thursday 20th July 2017 for funeral service of Thanksgiving in Culdaff Parish Church at 2.00pm with interment afterwards in adjoining churchyard. House priviate for family time the morning of the Funeral. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Nazerath House, Fahan, Co Donegal or c/o any family member.

 

 

Maggie COYLE (née Doherty)
The death has occurred of Maggie Coyle (née Doherty), Lunniagh Beg, Gweedore, Donegal.

Reposing at her late residence. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St Mary’s Chapel, Derrybeg followed by burial afterwards in Magheragallen Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Gweedore Day Centre. House private from 10pm to 10am.

 

Eta DEVINE
The death has occurred of Eta Devine, Carnowen, Castlefin, Donegal.

Funeral Mass took place this morning at 11am at St Mary’s Church, Castlefin followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please. Family flowers only.

 

Margaret CONNAGHAN
The death has occurred of Margaret Connaghan, White Hill, Gartan, Donegal.

Removal from Abbey Village, Kilmacrennan today, Tuesday, July 18th, at 1pm to her late residence at Gartan. Funeral Mass in St. Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan at 11am on Thursday, July 20th, with burial afterwards in Gartan Graveyard.

 

Mary Ellen MULDOWNEY
The death has occurred of Mary Ellen Muldowney, Screen, Kilmacrennan, Donegal.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday 18th July at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral.

 

Betty MCDAID
The death has occurred of Betty McDaid, Cregavila, Lower Illies, Ballymagan, Buncrana, Donegal.

Removal from her late residence took place this morning at 10.10am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
