Emergency services at scene of Carrigans accident

Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic accident just outside Carrigans.

A car, traveling from Derry in the direction of Carrigans, slid through a wall and into a field at a notorious bend on the outskirts of the village.

The crash happened just after 3 o’clock this afternoon.

Gardai and ambulance personnel are at the scene.

Motorists had been warned about an oil spillage on the same stretch of the R265 road this afternoon.
