The brilliant Clonmany Agricultural Show and Sheepdog Trials is taking place this Tuesday, August 8th at Pollan Green in Ballyliffin.

This year the festival celebrates its Golden Jubilee after 50 wonderful years.

Once again it’s a day packed full of family entertainment organised around this agricultural event including dog and pet shows, fashion shows and a marquee dedicated to the Taste of Inishowen Food Festival which is run in conjunction with the show.

Guests at this year’s show include celebrity Chef Rachel Allen who will be doing cooking demonstrations as well as our own local celebrity chef Brian McDermott.

Kieran Duey from Nancys Barn, who recently was voted to have the best chowder in the world, will be giving cooking tips and samples of his chowder.

There will also be trade stands from all over Donegal and the country showcasing some of their amazing delicacies.

Children’s amusements are available at the show and entry is free for all children when accompanied by an adult.

And if you have your dancing shoes on, then David Craig and his band will be playing an open air concert in the afternoon and there will be jiving and traditional dancing sessions happening throughout the day also.

This is a long established popular event with visitors and locals bringing more 4,000 people every year to this great area.

Get along for a great day!
