A business premises in Ballyliffin was the victim of a deception burglary this evening.

An undisclosed sum of cash was taken in the incident, which happened around 7 o’clock.

An employee was distracted when other members of the gang involved gained access to the safe and made off with the loot.

Gardai believe that the robbers made their getaway in a 03-D registered Hyundai.

It is understood that the gang made their way across the border into Derry a short time later.
